The adoption of the provisions of the EU Work-Life Balance Directive in North Macedonia will help to promote women’s participation in the workforce while improving gender equality at home and in the workplace. We believe that it is necessary for the national legislation to comply with this Directive and for the institutions to enable the applicability of the provisions!

This campaign aims towards #ExpandingChoices through family-friendly policies, as an important step towards ending gender-based discrimination at work and furthering women’s labour rights. This campaign has received support from UNFPA, funded by the Austrian Development Agency, and from the EU, co-funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.
