Transport policies must take into account the different needs of women and men in order to provide safety and mobility, as well as transport that meets their needs.
The data shows that women mostly move on foot or by bus to go to work or school. Therefore, better pedestrian paths, sidewalks and street lighting are necessary, as well as better and more frequent bus transportation in order to respond to the needs of women in traffic.
