Our project focuses on mainstreaming gender equality within the Berlin Process and reminds national and regional stakeholders that gender equality and diversity are essential to stability, democratic resilience, and EU integration in the Western Balkans. Amid global instability and democratic backsliding, structural gender inequalities continue to deepen regional vulnerabilities. While important commitments exist, significant gaps remain in their implementation, highlighting the need for systemic change and stronger government action to ensure equal rights and opportunities for all women and men.
Main objectives:
- Strengthen regional visibility and narrative power around gender equality at a moment of accelerated political shifts and alongside ongoing EU consultations and processes (GAP III finalisation, GAP IV prospects and new EU financial framework).
- Provide actionable, accessible advocacy inputs to stakeholders across the region (and in Brussels/across member states involved in the BP).
